Every bride and groom desire to shed a few pounds leading up to their BIG day. With this comes lots of anxiety and stress to look your best. Here are a few nutritional and exercise strategies that are sure to promise you results. However, no matter what the nutritional plan is, CONSISTENCY is crucial to seeing those results you are working so hard to obtain. Now let’s get to work for that BIG day…
First, it is vital to have a structured plan to follow. Know exactly what you want to work on, so you are able to get a structured workout plan that can fit into your daily schedule. Developing a nutritional plan that you can stay consistent with will prevent burn out before you see results.
Develop a smart goal or have a nutritionist provide you with meals that suit your taste buds. If you start 6-8 weeks before the wedding, you are sure to see results that have you looking and feeling healthy, and beautiful. Not to mention how sexy you will feel on your Honeymoon!
Second, participate in some form of recreational physical exercise. This will help you gain that extra energy you need as you run around with wedding planning and working on your fitness goal. The mental and physical energy you will endure can leave you drained and cranky so build up those endorphins with some fun exercises. This will have a positive effect on your mental state which will also impact your interaction with your future spouse, wedding guests, and allow you to get more accomplished without becoming a bridezilla!
Third, treat yourself. You are amazing and have put in the work and it’s time for a small reward. Of course, the grand reward is how amazing you will look and feel on your wedding day but for now, treat yourself for your hard work. Get back to your structured plan and remember you are doing this for YOU so don’t give up!
Fourth, take time each day to practice meditation. Meditation can be as short as two minutes or as long as you wish, the more you practice the better you’ll become. Reflect on why you are getting married, why you want to be more fit, and how you will continue this process after you say I DO! Take time to clear your mind and enlighten your spirit. Mediation helps relieve stress as weddings can be stressful, so protect your mind, body, and spirit.
Fifth, find time to rest. Here you are doing all this work to get that fitness goal with bags under your eyes. Getting plenty of rest will help you stay focus on your journey and give you the energy you need for wedding planning. People forget how important rest is for the body. You will need to replenish your body to continue with your desired wedding goals.
Sixth, I can not express how important it is to HYDRATE! It’s your wedding day and you have accomplished your weight goals, all the wedding planning is done, and your skin is horrible. H20 is the way to go! Hydrate and protect your skin and body, there will be plenty time for champagne at the wedding. But for now, drinking plenty of water is the key to balance you out. Now it’s time to head to the altar!
Here’s to a healthy body and marriage!
