One of the biggest Gospel Weekends, the East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest will kick off at 5th Baptist Church, 1415 West Cary Street on Saturday, July 7th at 5pm with a special showcase from some of the East Coast best choirs as they perform and minister on the Gospel “CHOIR LOVE” showcase. This will be a great evening for the entire family as Gospel Music will be presented with impeccable harmonies in various styles, filled with love.
Special guests for the evening include Cora Harvey Armstrong, Donte McCutchin and Levitical Priests, JOHN FOXX & New Fellowship, Eric Waddell & The Abundant Life Singers (from Baltimore, MD), the GMWA Goochland Mass Choir, EMA Live (from Newport News, VA), Pastor Larry Miles and more to be announced.
On Sunday, July 8th @ 5p.m, the city of Richmond 62nd Festival of the Arts will once again host “The 9th Annual Gospel Music Fest with The Belle” in Byrd Park at Dogwood Dell. This year’s star studded concert lineup includes Minister Earnest Pugh, G.I., Minister Earl Bynum, The Virginia Aires, Lee Walker & Spirit, James Johnson, John Foxx & Leviticus, Peggy Britt, Pastor Larry Miles & Fresh Anointing Cathedral Praise Ensemble and one more guest soon to be announced.
Admission is absolutely FREE for both events!
The 1st East Coast Gospel Music Summer Fest, birthed in Richmond, VA July 2010, under its visionary, Sheilah Belle “The Belle” has since become a music staple in the city of Richmond and on the East Coast, and is proud to once again return to a city that has long been known for its mixture of Traditional and Quartet sounds. Now listed as one of the largest outdoor Gospel Concerts on the East Coast, with crowds up to 12,000, the Dogwood Dell stage in Byrd Park is now set for some of the biggest names in Gospel once again.
