A Call to Unity: Restoring What Has Been Divided
In this month’s EXALT column, I issue a timely and urgent plea to the Body of Christ: choose forgiveness, choose love, choose unity. We are living in a world fractured by division—splits that show up everywhere, from political platforms to church pulpits. But the Church was never meant to mirror culture’s chaos; it was called to embody heaven’s harmony. And now more than ever, we must remember that harmony heals.
Unity isn’t passive or painless. It’s holy, costly, and essential. It requires humility, maturity, and a commitment to something greater than personal comfort. True healing begins when spiritual leaders model mercy—not just authority. When we choose to listen before we argue, to serve before we separate, we begin restoring what division tried to destroy.
Harmony Heals—Our Witness Depends on Reconciliation
The early Church thrived not because they always agreed, but because they chose to remain united under the lordship of Jesus. Today’s Church must do the same. Our witness is at stake. A divided church can’t effectively bear witness to the world. Only a united Body that reflects the grace, patience, and power of Christ can do that.
When we commit to unity, we reclaim the blessing God promises in Psalm 133. Healing flows where unity dwells. Revival begins where reconciliation is prioritized. We may not see eye to eye on every issue, but we can still walk hand in hand if love leads the way.
Let us be a people who pursue peace, even when it costs us pride. Let us be leaders who build bridges, not barricades. Because in the Church—and in the world—harmony heals. And through Christ, we can keep restoring what division tried to destroy.
