Then. Now. Tomorrow – Eshon Burgundy

“Salvation, Slugs and the Passover”.

Anton Eshon Hairston, better known as “Eshon Burgundy”, born April 21, in Abington, Pennsylvania; started his career in the underground movement. After devoting his life to Christ (2001), he switched focus and began making overtly Christian-themed rap music. Hairston built his touring résumé performing across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom alongside artists both inside and far beyond the Christian rap scene, including Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Alicia Keys, and contributed to DJ Jazzy Jeff’s 2007 release, The Return of the Magnificent. After several guest appearances on numerous projects and mixtapes by fellow believers, including Jackie Hill Perry, Alert312, and Andy Mineo, Eshon Burgundy’s first album, Blood Rushing to My Head, was released in 2012.

The mixtape For God’s Sake appeared in 2013, followed by 2015’s Billboard charting The Fear of God. Burgundy released his highly anticipated third album, The Passover (2016), Burgundy’s new project, a 10 song set, showcases an energized and renewed Eshon, masterfully fusing incisive and reverent lyrics with dynamic production. Accompanying The Passover, is the first collection of exclusive merchandise from NFTRY Apparel, Eshon Burgundy’s collaborative effort with Maison de Grace.
